25 years since the last bus trip to Reno, the YSC is doing it again. Travel to the mountains in the comfort of a 54-passenger bus for a weekend of gambling, with an optional day of skiing at Mount Rose.

After picking up members in San Francisco and Oakland early Saturday morning, the bus heads to the Sierras, making a three-hour stop at the Silver Legacy Casino before checking into Reno's Grand Sierra Resort.

Sunday morning features either a visit to John Ascuaga's Nuggest in Sparks, Nevada, or an optional day of skiing at Mount Rose, one of the Tahoe region's highest resorts. The bus returns to the Bay Area by 8pm Sunday.

Included with the trip are $5 gambling credits at two of the casinos, and a $6 food credit at the Grand Sierra Resort.

This event is open to both YSC members and non-members.

Reservations: Reservations are required for this event. Prices per person, including bus transportation and one night lodging at the Grand Sierra Resort, are:

$74 - triple room (two queen beds and a roll-away)
$84 - double room (two queen beds)
$110 - single room (one king bed)

Those that plan to ski should indicate so. If 20 skiers join, a group rate of $54 per adult lift ticket applies.

What to Bring: The hotel has a spa and sauna, so bring a swim suit. Skiers should bring ski equipment or rent some at Mount Rose.

Directions: San Francisco pickup is at 7:30am at the Embarcadero BART station. Oakland pickup is at 8:15am at Ruby King Bakery Cafe, 718 Franklin Street (near 12th Street BART).
