Get ready for one of YSC’s favorite summer traditions! This year we’re combining our legendary Viking Luau & Pig Roast with a Summer Splash Weekend for the ultimate Clear Lake getaway.
Spend the weekend enjoying sunshine, great company, delicious food, and everything Clear Lake has to offer. Whether you’re relaxing by the water, heading out on the boat, or joining the festivities, there’s something for everyone.
The Main Event – Viking Luau & Pig Roast
Saturday is all about celebrating our annual Viking Luau! Throughout the day, our pig will slowly roast Viking-style while everyone enjoys the lake, games, and summer fun.
When dinner is ready, we’ll gather together for a feast featuring delicious slow-roasted pork and plenty of sides. Vegetarian options will also be available.
We encourage everyone to embrace the theme—come dressed in your favorite Viking, Luau, or even a fun combination of both! The more creative, the better.
Summer Splash Activities
While the pig is roasting, make the most of your weekend on the lake!
We’ll have a boat available throughout the weekend for:
- Boat rides
- Tubing
- Learn to wakeboard (beginners welcome!)
- Swimming
- Paddleboarding & kayaking
- Relaxing on the dock and enjoying classic lake life
Whether you’re looking for adventure or simply want to unwind with friends, this weekend is for you.
Family Friendly
This is one of our most welcoming weekends of the summer and is open to Young Scandinavians of all ages. Bring your friends, family, and kids for a fun-filled weekend at the lake.
Good to Know
Whether you’re bringing a tent or planning to sleep under the stars, we’ve got you covered. Mattresses are provided—just bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
If it’s your first time at Clear Lake, be sure to check in with Lala when you arrive.
To help make the weekend run smoothly, everyone is asked to sign up for at least one chore upon arrival. Tasks include cooking, cleaning, setup, and general support. Teamwork makes the party work!

Most attendees arrive Friday afternoon or evening. Please note that Friday dinner is not provided, so please eat beforehand or bring something to cook.
