CLEAR LAKE MIDSOMMAR PARTY – June 26th-28th
Sommartider, HEJ HEJ! It’s time for 2026 Midsommar!
Join us for one of the Young Scandinavians Club’s longest-standing traditions: the Clear Lake Midsommar Weekend.
This annual event is one of our most popular one and always sells out! With this event we celebrate the summer solstice in true Scandinavian style, with sunshine, lake swims, flower crowns, dancing, and festive meals shared among friends and new faces alike.
What to Expect
During the day, enjoy the lake with swimming, paddleboarding, and lounging on the deck. In the afternoon, we’ll make flower crowns and gather around the maypole for traditional folk songs and dancing. Evening activities include a herring and smoked salmon happy hour, followed by a classic dinner with köttbullar and a Scandinavian smorgasbord. Later, we’ll dance under the stars with great tunes.
Chore Sign-Up
To make this a great experience for everyone, all attendees are asked to pitch in. Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to sign up for one chore such as setup, cooking, or cleanup. Please be prepared to contribute and help make the weekend run smoothly.

Reservations
Reservations are required for this event. & This event is open to YSC members and their guests.
What to Bring
Sleeping bag, pillow, towel, swimsuit, sunscreen, nice outfit for the midsommar celebration, warm layers for the evening, tumbler, alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (preferably no glass bottles). You can either sleep under the stars or pitch a tent. Mattresses are available.

Lastly
Most attendees arrive Friday afternoon or evening (no dinner is served Friday, so please eat before arrival or bring something to prepare). Departure is typically Sunday morning or early afternoon by 2:30PM.

CLEAR LAKE DOCK RENOVATION PROJECT
We are also graciously requesting any donations to the Clear Lake Dock Renovation Project. After a very successful section new build and replacement this spring, we are hoping to raise enough funds to replace the remaining dock sections.
Any amount will bring us one cent closer to achieving a much needed facelift for everyone to enjoy a more comfortable, modern cooking experience at our Clear Lake Cabin.
