Come one, come all, to the Swedish American Hall for the Young Scandinavian Club’s annual Santa Lucia Holiday event!
A tradition nearly as old as the Hall itself, this is the biggest Swedish Christmas event in the Bay Area. A choir of 40+ Scandinavian youth will sing Scandinavian holiday songs for the season, with the crowned Lucia leading the group.
After the concert, Santa Claus will make a special appearance, with goodie bags of treats and toys for every good boy and girl that share their Christmas stocking wishes. This is followed by a traditional dance around the Christmas tree in the main hall, accompanied by Swedish folk songs.
Enjoy traditional glögg with optional accents of raisins and almond slivers, washing down the various lussebullar and Danish kringler pastries. The reception begins at 4:30pm, so be sure to get your fill of all the godies early before the big show!
Note: The Lucia Choir is looking for new singers, especially older teenagers. If you are interested, please e-mail email@example.com
