Join the YSC for a beautiful fall hike through the hills of Corte Madera! This time, our very own board member Jesper will lead us along Christmas Tree Hill and the Huckleberry Trail, sharing some local history and childhood memories along the way.
📅 Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM (approximately 2-hour hike)
📍 Meeting Point: Menke Park, Corte Madera (easy parking available)
🥾 Difficulty: Moderate – approximately 1,000 ft elevation gain
Expect beautiful redwood groves, winding trails, charming hillside neighborhoods, and, weather permitting, breathtaking panoramic views of San Francisco and southern Marin.
While this is a moderate hike, the 1,000-foot elevation gain means you'll get a good workout, so come prepared for some uphill climbing. The views and scenery will make it well worth the effort!
This hike also comes with a little nostalgia - Christmas Tree Hill was once part of Jesper's childhood newspaper delivery route! Who better to show us around than someone who grew up exploring these hills?
After working up an appetite, we'll head to Café Verde in Corte Madera for a well-deserved drink, a bite to eat, and some relaxed socializing.
Bring comfortable hiking shoes, water, layers, and your sense of adventure. Whether you're a regular on our YSC hikes or joining for the first time, we'd love to see you there!
Skål & see you on the trail! 🌿🥾
