YSC is excited to be joining in on the SSCC Viking Run this year! Please join one of our YSC race teams to run or walk in the 2k or 5k race along with fellow YSC members and guests as well as swing by the post-race fair to say hi to the YSC crew at our table.
Event Details:
Where: Golden Gate Park
When: Saturday, May 3, 2025 | 7:30AM – 12:00PM
Cost: Registration fee of $65 for adults, $50 for youth and $40 for children. Included in registration is race timing, prizes for race winners, race medals for everyone, race tote bags for adults and t-shirts for children. Registered children also get an activity bracelet to participate in all the post-race kids activities.

Getting There:
The Pioneer Log Cabin picnic area in Golden Gate Park , located on 1 Blue Heron Lake Drive San Francisco, CA 94118.
Driving Directions
When driving to the picnic area, travel on Blue Heron Lake Drive. Keep in mind that cars are not allowed on John F. Kennedy Drive.
Parking
Free parking is available along Blue Heron Lake Drive or Martin Luther King Jr Drive. Please allow ample time to find parking and to check in at the registration which opens at 7:30am.

- 5K & 2K races in multiple age categories for adults and youth.
- For Children 4-7 years: 200 yards
- For Children 2-3 years: 80 yards
- For adult & senior runners/walkers, prizes are awarded for the fastest in 5K races, for other age groups, both 2K and 5K prizes are awarded.
