We really appreciate the connections we have with other Nordic organizations around the Bay Area, and are very excited to present this joint event with the Danish Soldiers Club, founded in 1938 in Petaluma, Sonoma County.
Denmark Day promises to be not only a solemn commemoration of Danish Liberation Day during World War II but also the only time, to our knowledge, that all NorCal Danish organizations have ever come together to produce a joint event.
We are happy to be part of this multi-organization, fabulous event on Denmark Day, May 4th, where we will be treated to a lot of wonderful culture and music, including a performance by Grammy-award winning violinist Mads Tolling!
The event will also be visited by the Danish Consul General Jesper Kamp, and among the speakers will be our own president Jeanette Flodell.
